What to Expect at Princeton Spine Disc and Chiropractic

Most practices see you, adjust you, and send you home. At Princeton Spine Disc and Chiropractic, Day 1 is entirely focused on understanding what is actually going on before any treatment begins.

Why We Do Not Usually Treat on the First Visit

If you have seen other chiropractors, you may be used to getting adjusted on your first visit. At Princeton Spine Disc and Chiropractic, that does not happen because Dr. Sojitra does not build care plans around symptoms alone. Many conditions return after treatment because the pain was addressed without identifying what is actually driving it. The key question is not just where it hurts, but why it is happening.

Day 1 is designed to answer that question before any recommendations are made. Dr. Sojitra uses Zone Technique analysis, neurological examination, X rays, thermography, and ANS assessment to build a complete clinical picture. That process ensures Day 2 recommendations are based on objective findings rather than assumptions, which is what separates long term correction from short term symptom management.

Day 1: The Full Picture

Day 1 runs 45 to 60 minutes. Nothing is rushed. Exam is thorough. Here is exactly what happens:

01

Paperwork

After booking, you will receive a link to your new patient intake forms. Complete them in advance or arrive 15 minutes early to fill them out at the office. Forms cover your health history, symptoms, prior treatments, medications, and goals.

02

Consultation

Dr. Sojitra sits down with you before any exam begins. He wants to understand your full story – past traumas, what you have already tried, what worked and what did not, and what you are trying to get back to. This conversation shapes everything that follows.
03

Zone Technique Analysis and Neurological Exam

Dr. Sojitra palpates six specific points on the posterior skull to assess which of the body’s six systems are under neurological stress. He also conducts a gravity-based neurological assessment checking cerebellar function, muscle tone balance, and neurological reflexes across the full body.
04

Orthopedic and Spinal Assessment

Range of motion, spinal and pelvic palpation, orthopedic tests, and – where relevant – extremity joints, rib function, sacroiliac movement, and pelvic alignment are all evaluated.
05

Digital Motion Analysis X-Rays (where indicated)

Dr. Sojitra takes his own X-rays and draws his own clinical conclusions. He uses motion analysis rather than static views – imaging the patient as they bend, flex, and rotate – to reveal which segments are restricted, hypermobile, or failing to move normally under load.
06

Medical-Grade Thermography (where indicated)

Infrared imaging that detects heat signatures and physiological stress patterns. Particularly useful for knee and extremity cases, neuropathy evaluation, and identifying inflammation that does not show on structural imaging. No radiation – safe for pregnant patients.
07

Nerve Express ANS Assessment (where indicated)

Evaluates autonomic nervous system function and how well the brain is communicating with the systems it regulates. Gives Dr. Sojitra an objective picture of neurological stress levels – often explaining why physical treatments alone have produced limited results.
08

Scheduling Day 2

At the end of Day 1, Dr. Sojitra schedules your Day 2 appointment – ideally the following day or as soon as possible.

Day 2: Where Care Begins

Day 2 is the Report of Findings. Dr. Sojitra reviews everything gathered on Day 1 and presents the complete picture to you in plain language.

01

Review of Findings

Dr. Sojitra walks through what the Zone Technique analysis found, what the neurological and orthopedic exam showed, and what the X-rays, thermography, and ANS assessment revealed. He connects the dots between findings and explains what they mean for your specific situation – not in clinical jargon, but in terms you can understand and act on.

02

Care Plan Presented

Based on the findings, Dr. Sojitra presents his best recommendations: which services, how often, for how long, and what the expected progression looks like. He explains why he is recommending each element and how the pieces work together. He also presents what a modified plan looks like if you want to start with less – along with an honest assessment of how that changes the expected timeline and outcomes.

03

Your Decision

You decide what you want to do. There is no pressure. If you want to start with chiropractic only and add services later, that is a real option. If you want the full protocol, care begins that day. If you need time to think about it, that is fine too.

04

Financial Agreement

Princeton Spine Disc and Chiropractic is an out-of-network practice. Payment options and financial agreements are reviewed in detail on Day 2 so there are no surprises. Most patients pay monthly or prepay for a care package. Pay-per-visit is available in some cases.

05

First Treatment

If you are ready to proceed, Day 2 is when care begins. Depending on your plan, this may involve a Zone Technique adjustment, decompression, SoftWave, laser, or a combination – whatever Dr. Sojitra has determined is the right starting point based on your findings.

After Day 2: How Care Unfolds

Every care plan is built around your starting point, your clinical findings, and your goals. Progress is reassessed throughout care, so Dr. Sojitra is not applying the same protocol regardless of response. As Zone Technique findings change and the nervous system stabilizes, treatment tools and visit frequency adjust accordingly.
Early care commonly involves two to three visits per week while acute symptoms and neurological patterns are being addressed. As improvement and stability develop, visit frequency decreases. Many patients eventually transition into an optional maintenance schedule once their primary goals are reached.
Care plans may also include home recommendations such as mobility exercises, wobble chair rehabilitation, cervical extension traction, supplement guidance, or brain based exercises targeting deficits identified during the evaluation.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Process

Why don't I get treated on my first visit?

Dr. Sojitra will not recommend a care plan until he understands what is actually driving the problem. Day 1 covers Zone Technique analysis, neurological and orthopedic exams, X-rays, thermography, and ANS testing where indicated. Patients whose prior treatment wore off are almost always in that situation because the underlying cause was never properly identified. Day 1 exists to fix that.
How long does Day 1 take?
Plan for 45 to 60 minutes. Straightforward cases run shorter; complex histories can run closer to an hour. Dr. Sojitra does not rush the consultation or exam regardless of the schedule.
Do I need to bring anything?
Bring any imaging including X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans, along with a list of current medications and a summary of prior treatments. If intake forms were not completed in advance, arrive 15 minutes early to fill them out at the office.
Is there a separate charge for the Day 1 evaluation?
Yes. The Day 1 consultation, neurological exam, and any X-rays are billed as the initial visit, collected at the end of Day 1. Day 2 care plan review and the start of treatment are separate. Your financial agreement is established on Day 2 before care begins.
What if I want to think about it after Day 2?
That is completely fine. Dr. Sojitra presents his recommendations and you decide. There is no pressure to commit on the spot, and the findings from Day 1 do not expire.
